What is included in a Branding Photography session?
An updated headshot is a great place to begin when you’re starting to gather content for small business marketing. However, in today’s online world, a few headshots aren’t going to go very far. A successful company needs a stockpile of great images (and video!) to pull from when posting on social media, updating the website, or submitting photos for ads. This is where a full branding session comes in.
What exactly is included in a branding session with Amber Dawkins Photography? Sessions are as unique as the brands themselves, but I’ve broken down the basics into five categories. These five categories, or “buckets” are the essential areas that we capture to help businesses share their story with potential customers.
Your People
This starts with an updated headshot. If your headshot is more than 2 years old, it’s already outdated. We will shoot a variety of headshots, both traditional and casual, so you have content for all types of marketing. Group photos for your staff or team page are also encouraged.
Your Places
If you have a storefront, you’ve likely spent countless hours making it feel welcoming for your customers. So let’s show off your restaurant, lobby, office, treatment room, retail store, showroom, etc! Photos of your space help potential clients see what you have to offer and remind current clients of their own experiences in your place of business.
Your Process
With access to so much information today, and with so many other businesses to choose from, it’s helpful to show your audience exactly what your process and their experience includes from the moment they walk in your door until they leave as a fully satisfied customer. This means taking your audience on a visual tour of the process in photos. We’ll ask you to invite a close friend, current client, or even a family member to be our “model” for the session, and we’ll photograph you interacting with them as you would a typical client.
Your Projects
This varies so much based on business type, and we’re open to photographing whatever fits within this bucket for your brand. We often find ourselves photographing design projects, new construction, remodels, and architecture.
Your Products
Many businesses think product photography doesn’t apply to them if they don’t sell their products in an online store. Definitely not true! Photographing your products displayed in your store as they are, or even in use, can have multiple uses in marketing. And of course, if you do want to sell online, you already know the benefits of ultra crisp and clear, color accurate professional images.
Did we miss anything? We would love to customize your branding session for your brand needs!
